How to apply
The School is a three-day program dealing with the ground-breaking legal, political and economic challenges of automated technologies.
This initiative is generally open to whoever is interested in law, policy and technology. Scholars, practictioners and students are encouraged to apply.
This year, the focus will be particularly on digital sovereignty and extraterritoriality. The goal for this year is to investigate the challenges raised by the extension of law, policy and technologies beyond traditional boundaries. Applicants are invite to reflect on this topic when preparing their contribution to the school. Theoretical pieces and cases studies are both welcomed.
To apply to the School, candidates should submit their application providing:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Cover Letter
- Contribution on digital sovereignty and extraterritoriality (no more than 2000 words)
Please submit the application only when you have filled in all the information correctly and have successfully uploaded your CV and cover letter. Incomplete application will not be taken into consideration.
Applications are accepted until 16 April 2023 by filling the following module:
All classes are in English and participants therefore need to have a strong command of English. No language certificate is required.
Applicants of all nationalities are eligible.
Applications will be evaluated by 30 April. Admitted candidates will receive an acceptance email with further information about next steps.
Tuition fee
Selected candidates will receive a link to register online and pay the tuition fee.
The fee for participating to the School is 500 euro.
The tuition fee for participants in Florence includes materials, lunches, coffee breaks, the first-day reception and the social dinner.
Scholarship
A very limited number of scholarship covering tuition fee is available.
The organising and scientific committee will evaluate applications and it will award scholarships to the best contributions for this year. The submission of the contribution does not automatically ensure the award of the scholarship.
