My name is Matthias.
I am working as a technician in a research laboratory. I use the skills I´ve learned and the existing laboratory infrastructure to generate my images.
In a fast-paced, noisy, ruthless world where profit and consumption come first, I sometimes feel like WALL-E from Disney’s animated movie. Then I have to go out into nature. There I find new inspiration and ideas for my work.
I love to show this beauty, not visible to the naked eye, often trampled by our feet, in a high-resolution image so that everyone can realize it.
Maybe it will make people treat nature with the respect it deserves.
For me, it’s a kind of therapy to not lose hope in this world.
